Neelam Valley or Neelum Valley is a bow-shaped thick forested region in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is 144 km long valley and named after Neelam river which passes through the valley. It is situated in the north-east of Muzaffarabad and separated from Kaghan Valley by snow-covered peaks. There are dozens of beautiful and historical places including Sharada Peeth in Sharda and Janawai town is one of the most beautiful and historical place in the valley. The most popular and most populated area in neelam is jura, which is famous for its Bazar and its beautiful places and highest mountains.
Chitta Katha Lake
It is a beautiful lake located at the altitude of 13,500 feet in Shonter valley which is a sub valley of Neelam valley. The lake is accessible from Kel by a 20 kilometers jeep track and then 5 kilometers hiking trek.
Ratti Gali Lake
It is located in Neelam valley at the altitude of 12,130 feet and accessible from Dowarian by a 17 kilometers jeep track and then 2 km hiking trek.
